I love Little Naches

Ever since Andra and Dustin moved here, we've been DYING to go camping! Before they get jobs, we figured we'd take advantage of a three day weekend and we headed out to Little Naches on Friday morning. The weather was perfect, we found a perfect camp site and went for a perfect ride. What a beautiful place! Here's a picture from our campsite.I could live out there for the whole summer if I didn't have to work and make money to pay stupid bills. Anyways, the ride wore us all out pretty good so we headed back to camp and hung out by the fire for the night. On Saturday, we got up pretty early and headed out riding again. Once the mid-day heat started, it was getting pretty hard to keep riding so we decided to go hang out at the Little Naches river. We layed out in the sun and jumped a 30 ft cliff into the FREEZING cold water. It was very refreshing. We hiked down the river for a while and then took a 13 mile drive up to Ravens Roost to watch the sunset. The view of Mt. Rainer and the Cascade Mountains was amazing. Photos don't even begin to do it justice. I hope everyone gets the chance to see a sunset like that. Here's a picture of a bunch of cool rigs that were up at the lookout watching the sunset.

Once the sun went down, it got cold REALLY fast so we headed back to camp to our warm campfire and let our bodies rest from an exhausting day.
I sure am glad my sister is back!! We haven't been able to go camping together since 2005!! I can't wait to go again.

4th of July Weekend

It's taken me a while to post a blog about the 4th of July, but I've finally found time!! Let me say first that it was probably the FUNNEST 4th of July I've ever had! Me, Jaime, Andra, Dustin, and Kevin all piled into the Honda (with the trunk full of firearms) and headed out of town to the mountains to go shooting. We eventually found a spot near Wilkenson. There were rangers on patrol trying to ruin our fun so we were on constant patrol. There were a few times we had to throw all the guns in the trunk and peel out to escape the haters. We even had some tailing us for a while and Jaime tried to loose them on the forest service roads. We eventually pulled over to see what they wanted and they just wanted to make sure we weren't drunk and let us on our way. Good thing they didn't know what was in our trunk.
After shooting a few hours away, we headed out towards Auburn to the reservation and dropped about $80 on some good fireworks. We made some good deals with those indians who were trying to get rid of their stuff for next to nothing. The remainder of the night was spent driving around to various secret spots blowing of a trunk full of illegal (the good stuff) fireworks!
On Saturday we all slept in quite a bit to recover from our late night. Then we loaded up the trucks with our dirtbikes and headed out towards Ravensdale. The sky looked a little threatening but not too bad. It was dry for the first few hours and then as we were going to start heading back to the trucks, the down pour began!! It was very intense! By the time we all got back to the truck, we were completely soaked from head to toe with rain and mud.
We ended the night with half priced appitizers at Applebees. What a perfect weekend.
