We sure have spent a lot of time camping so far this summer and it's been great! I love being out in the mountains and relaxing on the weekends. We found a really nice campsite at Naches that is a short walk from the river and the cliff jump. It's kind of tucked away, so it's usually open for us. There's plenty of room for anyone who wants to join us! Here's some pictures from our last trip.
Here's me smiling for the camera. Happy to be in the mountains!
Me taking a quick nap in my hammock. My feet got 10+ mosquito bites during this time. That'll teach me to sleep with flip flops.
The day before we went out to Little Naches, Jaime pulled up in front of the house with this on the trailer. (Total surprise to me) It's his "new" 2006 CRF250X. And it's street legal which I'm not too excited about. But he promised he will only ride it on FS roads.....we'll see if he sticks to that.
Anyways, here's a picture of him minutes after he pulled up and informed me for the first time of his splurge. (He used his tax return money to buy this + some money he's had stashed.)
Jaime jumping the new bike in the campsite.
Jaime doing a wheelie through camp.
This now puts our dirtbike total to six! He now has 4 and I still have my 2. Seems a little unfair to me....I think it should be 3 and 3. =) Anyone want to buy a dirtbike? Let me know....we need to make some room in the garage for our cars.

Summer Summer Summer!
Summer is BY FAR my favorite time of the year! Jaime and I both love being outdoors enjoying all that Washington has to offer. We wasted no time this year getting out into the mountains and going camping/dirtbiking.
Our first camping trip of the season was to a spot about 10 miles outside of South Cle Elum. I had just bought my "new toy" (.45 HK USP Compact) and I was dying to get out and shoot it. It's got quite a bit more kick than I'm used to, but it's a really fun gun.
Here's a video of me shooting my new gun for the first time. =)
Jaime, Brent, Aaron and I went for a pretty intense ride in the Taneum area outside of Cle Elum. There were awesome views, but very technically and sometimes scary parts of the trail. There were also some scary river crossings that we thankfully didn't attempt. The snow melt made the rivers VERY high and my bike probably would've been swept down river. Here's a couple pictures from the ride.
Here's a picture of my muddy dirtbike after a day of really tough riding.
This was on our last day at camp. Aaron was playing with fire and I got this shot.
I work really close to Lake Washington, so now that the weather is nice, I drive over to Kennydale park and spend my break there. Jaime is able to come visit me sometimes and have lunch with me. I got this picture to show you all that he really is a 28 year old KID.
This is just a cute picture I took of Pawsi. I was putting groceries away and had left the cupboards open for a couple minutes. He had jumped up there (about 4 feet from ground) and found a comfortbale spot next to the friskies. I think he's trying to tell me something.
Andra and I turned 25 on June 26th!!! I feel so old! It seems like I just turned 17 like 2 years ago. It's so crazy how fast the past few years have gone by.
Here's our Oreo Blizzard Ice Cream Cake. It was ridiculously good!
Me scarfing down the yummy cake. Dad in the background. haha.
Jaime got me a HUGE Fox racing gear bag. It fits all my riding gear and there's still room left over. It's so big I fit in there....sort of.
Andra and I celebrated our 25th birthday at Naches. I can't think of a better place to spend it.
Little Naches is BY FAR our favorite place to camp. Hundreds of miles of dirtbike trails, a bunch of rivers, beautiful views, and tons of camping spots. This year, they took an extra month to open because the winter was so harsh, it took far more work to get the trails "rideable." We finally got out there the weekend after they opened. Here's some pictures from our trip.
There are elk EVERYWHERE up there.
Hanging out by the Little Naches River.
Jaime and I at Ravens Roost at sunset.
Me and Mt. Rainier!!
This was our massive "birthday fire" that Brent, Aaron, Jaime and Dustin made for us. It was so huge and hot you had to stand about 10'+ away.
Me and Andra about to go for a ride!!
Jaime cutting up firewood.
Me on my 25th BIRTHDAY!! yay!
I was doing handstands by the fire....not really sure why.
Here's some pictures from Ravens Roost on the last night. The sunset was so beautiful. I wish these pictures did it justice, but they just don't.
Here's a picture of Lexus and Pawsi getting into mischeif at home. They know they're not supposed to be up there, but there they are.
On weekends when we aren't able to get out of town, we spend a lot of time at Lake Wilderness. Here's some pictures of us jumping off the logs across the lake. (Well 4 of Jaime, the last one is of me)
The summer is already going by so fast! But then I guess they always do. Summers in the Pacifit Northwest are the best and we are looking forward to the rest of the summer and the adventures we'll have. If anyone wants to go camping with us, just lets us know!!
