This summer is going by way too fast, but we've been able to do lots of fun stuff so I guess I can't complain too much. A few weekends ago, we rode the Naches trail from Greenwater to Little Naches with my brothers and Ree.
This was the amazing view from one of our rest spots.
Aaron coming up the trail.
Resting at the river over the mountains at Little Naches. (Ree, Brent, Aaron, and me laying in the grass by the water)
Bike line up. About to head back over the mountains.
When I first met Jaime back in 2001, one of his favorite summer activities was jumping his bikes (with flotation devices somehow attached to the handlebars) into various lakes. I thought he was crazy and that it was just a phase he would get over. Boy, was I wrong. It's been 8 years since then and he's made about 3-4 different ramps and 5+ bikes for this specific purpose. Everytime he sees an abandoned bike or "free" bike along the road he stops the car and picks up his new "lake jumper." He's such a kid at heart. I love him so much. =)
This is Jaime at Lake Wilderness minutes after the lifeguards went off duty. He sure draws quite the crowd. It's very entertaining to watch.
Jaime jumping out of a tree on the shore of Lake Wilderness.
Me jumping out of the tree. It's very scary, but very fun!
Here's me at the top rung about to jump. It's pretty high, and surprisingly scarier than any cliff I've jumped. A lot more room for error up on that tree.
Aaron came over for a BBQ and gave Pawsi a good beat down. (Don't worry he likes it.) This picture was taken on one of the nights were it was about 86 degrees at 11pm and Pawsi was panting like a dog.
On July 31st, Jaime turned 29!!! Happy Birthday to him! Here are his presnts I had waiting for him when he got home from work.
We went to Cheesecake Factory with Andra and Dustin to celebrate. Jaime with his "Birthday Sundae."
Lexus trying to keep cool during the awesome heat wave we had. She's laying on a wet towel. It was about 97 inside our house during the day.
We have been doing A LOT of riding this summer. It's been great. We try to get over to Naches but some weekends we stay local and ride over at Ravensdale.
Jaime and I taking a quick break.
It's very dusty out there. Very different from the winter/fall riding conditions.
Hanging out up at the track.
It got so hot! We all rode to the Green River and jumped in. (Jaime, Emma, Dustin, Andra, Aaron)
Me and Jaime jumping together.
Me and Andra jumping together.
Climbling up the rock to jump. The Green River is so beautiful this time of year. I highly reccomend it.
Me riding around the track.
Trying to learn how to jump like the boys.
Jaime enjoying the view of Ravensdale. =) haha
Video of me and Andra jumping rocks into the Green River while High Fiving.
